Blog Post Twelve - “What Comes Easy, Goes Easy”
In the whirlwind of life, we’ve all encountered situations where things seemed to come effortlessly. An instant connection with someone, a dream job that appeared out of the blue, or an opportunity that felt almost too good to be true. Yet, sometimes, just as quickly as these blessings appear, they fade or slip away, leaving us wondering if they were ever truly meant for us. What was the point or the lesson here? What comes easy often goes easy too. And perhaps, that’s not something to fear but rather a reminder to trust the process and to believe deeply in the power of timing and intuition.
The Ephemeral Nature of Life's Gifts
Life has a way of giving us previews of what could be, but not always what will be. When something flows effortlessly into our lives, it’s natural to believe that it’s meant to stay. However, the very ease of its arrival can sometimes mean it wasn’t built on the steady foundation needed for the long haul. Think of friendships that spark with instant connection but later dissolve, or romantic relationships that start strong but quickly lose momentum. They serve a purpose: teaching us lessons, adding color to our lives, or helping us see who we are in those fleeting moments. Yet, sometimes, their departure is a sign that they weren’t intended for the journey ahead, they were just a part of it.
Trusting Intuition in Relationships and Opportunities
Our intuition is a gift that often knows more than our minds can comprehend. When it whispers to us that something doesn’t feel right or that we’re forcing a connection, it’s trying to guide us. If a person, opportunity, or relationship feels like it’s constantly slipping away no matter how much we chase it, it’s time to let go. Life tends to repel the things that aren’t truly aligned with our spirit and purpose, even if our heart is set on making them fit.
On the other hand, if something or someone is meant to be part of our path, it will remain or find its way back—even if we take a step away from it. When we stop clinging, we make space for the right things to anchor themselves in our lives naturally. True alignment has a quiet steadiness that doesn't demand chasing.
The Power of Patience and Trust
Trusting life’s timing isn’t always easy, especially when we’re so eager for certain things to materialize. But patience becomes a transformative skill when we allow ourselves to wait for what’s genuinely meant for us. It’s tempting to want control over outcomes or to rush into things, but often, forcing life leads to temporary outcomes. Real strength lies in allowing the universe to work with us rather than against us, knowing that what’s meant for us will never need us to force it to stay.
Embracing Detachment
Detachment doesn’t mean a lack of care; it’s about releasing the need to control. When we detach from outcomes, we allow life’s flow to guide us naturally. If a friendship fizzles out, maybe it was meant to teach us something specific. If a job opportunity closes, it’s perhaps a door opening to something far more suitable down the line. Holding loosely to what comes into our lives allows us to remain open to the possibility of new, meaningful experiences rather than getting stuck on what was never truly ours.
Life's Magnetic Pull
Just as certain things and people are repelled from our lives, some experiences and connections are magnetically drawn to us. These are the ones that withstand distance, time, and challenges. Trust that if something is truly meant for you, it will find its way back in ways you least expect. And if something pulls away, recognize that the universe is doing you a service by steering you away from what isn’t aligned with your growth.
Walking Forward with Faith
In a world where things come and go, learning to trust the universe, our intuition, and the natural flow of life is essential. Know that what’s truly yours will follow you, even if you momentarily step away from it. And remember, if you’re drawn toward something that ultimately repels you, take it as a sign of redirection.
Life is a journey where every experience, whether fleeting or lasting, holds value. Walk forward with faith, knowing that the universe has a way of weaving the right people, opportunities, and relationships into your path when the time is right. What’s meant for you will stay, not because you held it tightly, but because it was always yours to begin with.
